Sam Phillip Phillip

Publicity Secretary

Hey there, Sam Philip Odoyo is my name. I am a 3rd year Geospatial Engineering student. I am really passionate about my course and I look forward to becoming a great Engineering surveyor. I am the Publicity Secretary in The Engineering Students Association of The University of Nairobi. I act as the Public Relations officer and I work to further the interest of the Association. I’m tasked with the role of ensuring that all events and plans made by the Association are known to the students. A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. I therefore believe that servant leadership is the best way to lead.

My interests in life lie in deducing a way in which production can be maximised and waste can be minimised. This can best be achieved through the industrial revolution. Engineers are the key players who can spearhead this drive and I plan to work my way to be in the lead team of that drive.

Outside studies and leadership, I spend most of my free time engaging in physical activities and keeping fit and healthy. I enjoy playing field games where I can use my physicality to my advantage i.e., rugby, soccer and basketball. Away from the dusty fields, I love cooking and eating!
