Finally, the second article writing competition brought to you by ESA is here! This year we are focusing on the flagship project of the President of the republic of Kenya – The Big 4 Agenda. Every company in the country is aligning itself with these 4 themes and there are myriad of opportunities available in The Big 4 Agenda. The Student Engineer 2018 – 2019 will feature opportunities available, innovative ideas and projects and roles engineers play in achieving the Agenda. In this journal cycle, the editorial board intends to publish 4 journals each focusing on an agenda The ESA Editorial Board is therefore calling for articles through this article writing competition for university students countrywide to source for content for the journal as a way of including the views of students in accomplishing this agenda and bringing in their innovative ideas and projects that will accelerate accomplishing of the agenda. This article writing competition is the first instalment of two and will focus on;
- Manufacturing and value addition
- Affordable housing
Therefore, students are encouraged to engage their minds and write about this emerging issue. The magazine will be distributed countrywide (to the various universities and major companies) and also in neighbouring countries. Therefore, it is certain innovative ideas published in the magazine will be noticed and opportunities may arise! Besides this, the first three winners will be awarded as follows;
- The Best Article – 15000/=
- First Runner’s Up – 10000/=
- Second Runner’s Up – 5000/=
